Dior ultra-gloss glow: 256 Lingerie Pink

Dior Ultra-Gloss glow: 256 Lingerie Pink

This lipgloss is a milky consistency which we love and also doesn't have the horrible thick sticky feeling of many other lip glosses. It is amazing for layering over pink and nude lipsticks for the Bridget Bardot look. However it is quite expensive but the product is high quality and the packaging is iconic and luxurious. Overall if you have money to spare, this is a luxury treat and we would expect nothing less from Dior.

Concealer Series

Concealer Series:

Collection 2000 illuminating touch light diffusing concealer:
Pros: illuminating, build-able coverage, easily blendable, compact for travel with brush
Cons: very sheer, doesn't last long, opaque packaging means you don't know how much you have left
Best for: People who want a light natural coverage, under eye circles, marks

Collection 2000s lasting perfection concealer:
Pros: medium-high coverage, reasonable staying power
Cons: accentuates dry patches, settles into fine lines, not builable coverage as it goes cakey after 2 layers, packaging makes it difficult to get product out
Best for: Normal to oily skin, dark circles, moderate blemishes, marks

MAC Pro-Longwear concealer NW20:
Pros: medium buildable coverage, long lasting
Cons: settles into fine lines, thick, causes breakouts, sticky, oxidises into powdery orange after a few hours, pump squirts out way too much product
Best for: People with normal skin who aren't prone to breakouts and dont have sensitive skin, but overall not a great product

MAC Studio finish concealer NW25:
Pros: High coverage, compact packaging
Cons: Thick, creases under eyes, slides on oily skin, accentuates dry patches, unhygienic packaging, not layerable
Best for: Normal skin with acne scarring or marks

L'Oreal colour infallible eyeshadow: burning black

L'Oreal Colour Infallible in Burning Black is a product that I didn't set out to buy, but when it was reduced in Boots I knew I had to have it. The colour is a blackened purple with reddish purple glitter. This is such a beautiful colour but I really don't wear it enough. It is such a unique colour and looks amazing on the lower lash-line or in the crease and makes a nice change from black or brown. It can also be used to add depth to a purple smoky eye. Overall this is a beautiful and unique colour that can be layered up to an intense finish.

HD Brows Palette Vamp

In this months glossy box, I was really happy to see the HD Brow kit, I remember seeing it on loads of blog posts before I subscribed to Glossybox. The brow colours are extremely pigmented, I use rich brown in the front of my brow and dark brown for definition, this HD brow palette is suited to people with dark hair. The nude colour can be used as a matte hi-light under the brow bone and all of the shadows can also be used as eye-shadows. There is 3 palettes available, Bombshell for blondes, Foxy for light brunettes and vamp for dark hair. The variety of shades available mean you can create a natural looking brow and the colours are really long lasting. The packaging is very glossy and expensive looking and the compact is perfect for travel. Overall this is an amazing product and I will definitely re-purchase.

Revlon: Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains

After all the hype, I had to purchase the Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stains, I bought the shades cherish, a light, blue toned, bubblegum pink, and lovestruck a deep plum fuchsia. I love the packaging, the chubby crayon is cute and Barbie-like and practical for travel and on the go application. The colour is very pigmented and lasts for hours especially the darker shade Lovestruck. Although I love mint scented lip products, the peppermint scent is strong and this isn't popular with everyone. If you like peppermint scents, easy application and long-lasting pigmented colour then these Balm Stains are for you. The only downside is after the initial glossy stage has worn off the stain can be quite drying on the lips so I would advise you take a lip balm in your purse.

Sleek: Oh So Special i-Divine

Surprisingly I am a Sleek Virgin so on a recent trip to Superdrug I finally decided to cave in and buy the Sleek i-Divine in Oh So Special after setting out to get the Au Naturel palette. I felt the colours were more unique as I already own more than enough brown and neutral colours. Before I begin reviewing, I just want to say that I love the sleek packaging, it feels very expensive and, well, sleek for the price. The colours range from a neutral bone shade to an intense jet black. They are all extremely pigmented, the shimmery shades slightly more so than the matte, but the most pigmented shade of all had to be the black, as you can probably tell from the swatches. I think the shimmery pinks and purples are a good alternative to everyday neutrals as they are still very wearable. I can't wait to wear Glitz and Celebrate with a smoky eye, does anyone else think Celebrate is a great dupe for MAC's Cranberry?

Overall I really think it's worth the money and I'm definitely going to buy more from Sleek! What's your favourite Sleek product - I need recommendations!
